This course is designed for beginner learners of French and focuses on developing fundamental communication skills for everyday situations. Students will learn basic French grammar, sentence structures, and essential expressions that can be applied in practical contexts. The course covers topics such as greetings, self-introduction, shopping, dining, sightseeing, and travel. Emphasis is placed on integrated skill development (listening, speaking, reading, and writing) to enhance overall communicative competence. In addition to language acquisition, the course provides an introduction to French society, history, and culture, fostering an understanding of the French way of life. Through this interdisciplinary approach, students will cultivate humanistic literacy and global communication competence, broadening their cultural and intellectual perspectives.

문학과 영화를 잇는 다리는 이야기다. 문학은 글로 쓰여진 이야기이며 영화는 영상으로 구성된 이야기다. 이야기는 인간 문화의 근원이다. 인간의 특성인 현재는 물론 과거 미래를 사고하는 능력은 이야기를 창조하고 구사능력이 바탕이 되었다. 우리는 이 수업을 통해 이야기의 본질과 이야기의 미적 실현체인 문학과 영화에 대한 인문학적 성찰을 진행한다.

The bridge between literature and film is the story. Literature is a written story, and a film is a story composed of images. Stories are the foundation of human culture. The ability to think about the past as well as the future, which is a characteristic of human beings, is the basis for creating and speaking stories. Through this class, we conduct a humanistic reflection on the essence of the story and the aesthetic realization of the story, literature and film.

축제는 각 지역의 언어와 정체성을 극대화시킨 행사인 동시에 세계문화 지형도에 변화를 가져올 수 있는 주된 수단의 하나이다. 특히 오랜 축제의 전통을 유지해온 유럽의 경우 음악, 영화, 연극, 무용, 스포츠, 애니메이션, 만화, 식품에 이르기까지 페스티벌의 외연이 매우 넓다. 본 강의는 남서유럽의 대표 축제들이 탄생, 성장해온 과정을 일별하며 해당 국가와 시대가 추구해온 가치들을 살펴보고, 로컬의 문화 자원과 건축 인프라를 생태적으로 활용한 성공 사례들을 중심으로 환경과 다양성, 공존을 키워드로 하는 4차산업시대의 문화 기획에 대해 고민해보고자 한다.

The festival is an event fructified by the language and identity of each region, and at the same time a main means of renewing the world cultural topography. Especially in Europe, where the tradition of festivals has been maintained for a long time, the thematic sphere of the festival is very wide, from music to gastronomy, passing through film, theater, dance, sport, comics, etc. The aim of this course is to present various festivals representative of South West Europe and to understand the important values of each country. The study of successful cases in terms of the ecological use of local cultural resources and architectural infrastructures will allow us to reflect on the organization of the festival in the era of the 4th industrial age.

The course will analyze the relation between French Literature and various other genres of Arts such as Painting, Music, Performing Arts and Cinema etc.. Reading is the most basic learning method of humanities. By reading French literature, which boasts the widest breadth and depth in Western literature, it enhances understanding of literature. Read feature novels that are usually difficult to read through translations, partially compare them with the original text as needed, and proceed with in-depth reading.

French Literature still has on important place in Modern Literature. How to accomodate the various perspectives that one identifies in literature has become a major norm in Modern Literature. Understanding various ‘points of views’ in Modern Literature will lead to better comprehension of French Modern Literature. The 1st person perspective will also enable students to better understand their surroundings.

프랑스 스포츠 산업에 대한 이해를 통해 직업적 접근의 가능성을 타진한다. 예를 들어 프랑스의 프로축구 리그1은 영국의 프리미어리그나 독일의 분데스리가 못지 않은 규모와 열기를 느낄 수 있지만 우리나라에는 상대적으로 잘 알려져 있지 않다. 새로운 분야에 대한 직업탐구차원에서의 연구를 통해 스포츠 에이전트를 비롯한 스포츠 산업의 직업 분야를 조사 분석하고 그 직업의 세계를 탐색한다.

Through an understanding of the French sports industry, the possibility of a professional approach is explored. For example, France's professional soccer league 1 can feel the scale and heat as much as the English Premier League or Germany's Bundesliga, but it is relatively unknown in Korea. Through research in terms of job exploration in new fields, we investigate and analyze the job fields of the sports industry, including sports agents, and explore the world of the job.

This course develops proficiency in Korean？French translation through the application of generative AI tools. Students will learn the ethical principles governing AI-assisted translation and examine how various AI models handle vocabulary, expressions, stylistic features, and literary qualities in translated texts. Through comparative analysis, the course evaluates the strengths and limitations of AI-generated translations and considers appropriate alternative strategies.

This course explores the cultural diversity of the Francophone world. By examining the history, language, identity, arts, and societies of major French-speaking regions, the course aims to foster an understanding of the breadth and complexity of Francophone cultures.

The French literary industry, which has developed remarkably from the 19th century to today, is a collaboration between education, media, critics, and the publishing industry for the purpose of discovering diverse and talented writers, supporting their growth, and steadily expanding the base of readers of the french literature. In this lecture, we will learn about trends in the french literary industry and related policies through representative literary awards, book fairs, literary festivals, and translator training programs.

This course examines the position of Korean literature within world literature and analyzes the diverse and specific issues that arise in translation through case studies of French translations of Korean literary works. Students will explore the unique literary qualities of selected Korean texts and, on this basis, discuss strategies for addressing linguistic, stylistic, literary, and cultural challenges encountered when translating from Korean into French.

Furthermore, we examine major current affairs and social discourses from a media perspective, aiming for a critical understanding of their popular culture and political influence. Students will cultivate media literacy using French texts and videos, expanding their connection to contemporary French society. Ultimately, the course aims to build comprehensive knowledge of the French media system.
